Re: Aa cautionary tale (don't do this it's dumb)
My temp fix when I added the extension kit to my Atomstack A5 and found the pre drilled holes were set up for the original smaller modules not the larger M100 module I just cut a small box frame 20 odd mm wide and high enough to reach the switch from the table top, worked well enough 95% of the time...

Re: Jinsoku LC-40 Com Port
Kinda sounds like the USB port on the Genmitsu controller died. The only thing I can think of that you didn't mention is fiddling around with the physical USB connector to see if you can get the computer to see it (thinking physical problem with the board/connector but I don't know why it would mal...

Re: Laser Material Horror Story - PVC Edition
I've worked a number of jobs, spent time in the lab and have a gallows sense of humor. Some of the stories in these videos are just insane. Stirring Hydrofluoric acid with your fingers ? Tasting a specimen to see if it's NaCl? No wonder alchemists had a tendency to die young. I worked in a P...

Re: LPI Testing
I was aware that you could set the LPI for the materials test but it was my understanding that it would run the test with the one LPI selected and not use different LPI setting like it does not power and speed. Now that you bring that up, I need to double check and see, interesting and thanks. You ...

Re: LPI Testing
I did some testing this week and I wanted to share my thoughts and see if anyone else had any information to offer on the topic. Typically, I try to stay in the .1-.09 range since it is my understanding that the dot size of my laser is stated at being .08. I have not had any issues but since the LP...

Re: Xtool Infrared Laser Module worth it?
Thanks for the video link. It was eye opening. Now I am leaning against getting it. I really appreciate your review The biggest problem with the IR modules is that they are usually only 2w as opposed with Fiber lasers which tend to start at 20w and go up from there, so bear in mind you are starting...

Re: Comgrow Z1 Symbols in Console in Lightburn
I am new to the laser community and got a Comgrow Z1 5W laser. It wasn't connecting in lightburn so I updated the firmware and now I get symbols in the Console. Has anyone had this issue before? I am getting ready to just send it back to Amazon and either get a replacement or a different brand. The...
