and then laser the image onto the tile. Here I'm using a little VigoTec cantilevered laser engraver with an Eleksmaker 2.3W laser and a printed Z-adjuster (https://www.printables.com/model/140088-improved-manual-z-mechanism-for-cheap-laser-engrav). I'm running at 1500 mm/min and 90% power (determin...

Re: Norton White Tile versus Darkly Labs
It's the TiO2 content of the paint that is the important thing. The higher the TiO2 content the darker the burn I believe. Take a look and Den of Lasers in FB. That's the group started by Nicky Norton. There are loads of guides. I don't do anti-social media, but I've seen a few guide on the HOWs of...

possible to "reset" Layer settings?
I ran a Power Test and when I started a new porject, all of the layers where still set to the same "fill" settings that the Power Test used. Is there anyway to set these back to a default state? Either on every new project or by button click or... ?

Re: Lightburn on 2nd PC
I have LB on two computers and I have Dropbox on my computers to save my files. I can design on one and retrieve it on the other. Dropbox cost me about $12.00 a month plus it also acts lake a backup for my files. Instead of dropbox, you could just share a directory on one of the computers and have ...

Re: Trying to burn
I'm new to lasers myself, but I'm pretty sure we need more info.
* What is the machine/laser?
* What software are you using to control the laser?
* What are you trying to burn/cut?
* What steps have you taken so far?

Norton White Tile versus Darkly Labs

In the Darkly L...

Odd Question... Do the Settings Have to Match?
So, my laser is in another room and is run by a windows something laptop with LightBurn (and lasergrbl and inkscape) installed. I prefer to do my design and layout in the living room on my linux laptop - also running Lightburn. Do I have to make sure that all of the machine settings match and that I...

Thanks for Having Me!
So, like my signature says, I've been using and building 3d printers and cnc machines for years, but I'm new to laser engravers. My first (and current) machine is a befon A5 Pro 410x400mm 5.5 watt from Amazon. I look forward to learning much here! I don't know if it's allowed, so I didn't add it to ...
