joejones wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 5:56 pm I haven't figured out how to SCALE a .stl file yet. Say I wanted to print the nut and bolt, but at a 1" diameter. How do I scale it up? I have to assume it is possible, but with software that is still foreign to me?
Look for the toolbar and an icon like the one in this picture.

Darren wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2024 2:10 pm Has anyone cut and/or etched acrylic with a 10w laser?
The settings for a few different acrylics are on the thumb drive that came with the laser in a Lightburn Library. I know they work since I created the library.

That's not a chiller, the 5200 is a chiller. The 3000 is a radiator with fans.

Re: Okay I SWEAR this is the last one

Those are files designed for the Bamboo Labs series of printers. They're printer profiles. Go to Thingiverse and you'll find the same files where you can download the STL.

joejones wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2024 8:14 pm Do sites exist where I can simply download ready-to-print 3D files?
There are lots of websites with free STL files. I would probably recommend Thingiverse to someone new to 3D printing.

There are no seller rules as long as you're in the right category, which you are, you're a real person, and your items are hobby related.

Re: Okay I SWEAR this is the last one

They call this "Additive Manufacturing." Today's printers are a fraction of the cost they used to be and extremely accurate. This is an all-in-one, sub-$1500 printer I just got in the shop yesterday: - printer.jpg - And these are just a few of the prints I did testing it at up to 1200 mm/...

Re: Merging two PNG files

The elf looks like a png file. You would need to select the elf, right click on it and trace it. Then make a copy of it and position one copy over the snow image. Then use the Cut Shapes feature in Lightburn to cut it out. After that, place the 2nd copy of the elf in the area you just cut out.
