Interesting. I can't demo something that is not even close to functioning. I wonder how many machines went out with the known defects? Obviously many have.

Will a generic 1.1f gerbl CNC card work with this unit that supports 5v PWM? Does anyone have a recommendation?

Hi, anyone out there with RIP's contact info? I need his help in taking this unit to "THE TRAIN STATION".
I will pay! No one will know!

Is there another or alternative 1.1 grbl controller out there with 5v PWM that might work with the K40?

I do have a feeling we are being spammed by Monport factory reps. Funny, if they would just send out the correct, working, and tested products they would be flooding with orders. Probably are anyway!

But not mine, never again!

I got my k40 a week after you with the same lack of tracking info. Fortunately I have had no technical issues. If you use a small pair of channel locks the focus dial turns easily to the right and will give you an extra 3/4" of z adjustment. I wish I had done a bit more research 1st on it's original intended use and why no z axis but no one to blame but me. I think at some point I may turn it into a 12x12. I don't regret buying it as it was a cheap way to dip my toes into co2. I was surprised at how simple they are just a tube and a few mirrors. Diode lasers always seemed like magic in a cube with no explanations.
My Name is Jeff. I use an Atomstack A10 pro m100 20w module and a monport K40 pro.Doing this about 18 months now.

Thanks I will try the channel locks.

What Version of the controller card did you receive please?

At max pot setting and Fire button depressed - what are you reading? Below 19 or above 19?

What tube rating did you see on teh lamp? less than 40 or greater than 40?

I assume you are getting a full 5v PWM signal via Lightburn.

Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the info everyone.

Monport would not give me an estimate for a controller card replacement.
