Ring Boxes

Post by splinter »

Continuing with acrylic resin & mica fills.
These are small single-ring boxes made from apricot with walnut lids. About 2-3/8" x 2-3/4", 1-7/8 tall

Simple locating fixture on the laser bed, tape over the wood to keep the resin pour out of the wood pores.

Very nice! Am I correct in understanding that the lid simply lifts off and there are no hinges holding it in place?

Correct, the lid "lip" has a very slight taper where it fits into the box. Friction fit keeps it in place, kinda like a cork in a bottle.
