It's not hidden Randy, it's in the Device Settings.

Tagging onto this thread. I will be building a larger laser starting today, using some parts from a Comgrow Z1 but longer extrusions and using a DLC32 board. The honeycomb bed I bought is 850x850mm and is on the upper limit as my vented enclosure is 900x900mm.

Having some experience with GRBL, CNC and years of custom 3D printers have prepared me somewhat as the firmware and machine config & calibration are a must. I may need to get better steppers as the added mass of the longer gantry my cause issues. I will be driving each Y-axis stepper with independent drivers, TMC2208, so this may not be necessary. Speed and acceleration testing to determine the limits will be done. I'll start a new thread of this build soon.
Old, but not cold yet. Been a maker since before the term came into the vogue. Been using technology from fire and hammer to computer driven machinery for myself and customers for more than 50 years. Lasers have come from the comic books to our work spaces with their pro's and cons. My main use is to cut leather in a small commercial venture during my retirement. Along with 3D printers these tools can be a worthwhile addition to any workspace.

Hello Mr. Hobby. I found the Z enable button a long time ago but I couldn't get it to work. Even the Z + and Z- does nothing.
I went into machine settings, then output setups and found Z max rate, Z acc. rate and the Z travel were all set at 0, so I fixed that
also. I'm going to check if I wired the stepper correctly, (A+ & A- and B+ and B-) So far Z is still not working.
Now for the bad news --- a couple of nights ago we had a power outage, the lights flashed a couple of times and then power was out for
several hours. When power came back on I discovered that the controller gotten wiped clean, I mean zeroed out clean, everything !!
So I did a load from file and got things working again, only still no Z working, I'll get yet. Anyway this is where I at, will give you update
as soon as I get it.

Mr. Donder

I plan on following your build. I sure leaned a lot on my project. As soon as I get my Z problem fixed, I'll be starting my gas evacuation box. I'm having to use 1220 mm for my box and be cut down to 1066 mm, making my box about 46" square.
