Out on medical leave
Re: Out on medical leave
Larry here. I am running a Longer RAY5 10W (work) and a TwoTrees TTS-55 Pro (fun). Both on Windows 10. Software Engineer for 35 years. Now woodworking laser guy (or is that lasering woodworker guy) with small business (Red Knoll).
Currently diving into a SmoothieBoard v2 for making my router sled into a CNC Router.
Oh! I WAS in on the new Longer Nano Duo Kickstarter. It is over. I own one. Finaly, a tool smarter than me (AI).
Won't arrive until June

Re: Out on medical leave
Yes, they dragged me into the OR yelling in pain 10 weeks ago. I thought it was all over and things were getting much better for the first 4 weeks, but then, 2 other discs gave out and I was back to where they started. Now all of my S & L discs have been replaced, and it's all fused together as one now with rods and plates.
I got home from the hospital this morning and PT starts in an hour and 15 min, and OT starts tomorrow morning. The Dr is telling me 4-6 weeks to start feeling normal, and 6-12 months to get back to a new normal following the PT & OT.
Thank you all for the heart warming well wishes! I'll be back soon....

Best of luck, Rich. You should have lots of good karma on your side. I've added both the laser engraver and 3D printer to my repertoire in the last couple years, on your advice. This has brought me a lot of joy and those around me a lot of doodads! THANKS.
Hope you're feeling better soon! Back problems are terrible and I haven't even reached the point of surgery yet.
