I have been using a product named "K-Stick, All Purpose Glue", to glue black paper on Acrylic to cut it. It is used as an adhesive for the base plate on 3D printers> Would that be safe?

The stringy smoke ... is it still a problem with lasers that have the air assist? After all, there is a positive air flow blowing anything AWAY from the lens during the entire cutting process.
