Re: Forum Software Q&A
My issue is with text. Most texts are outlines of the font. I want a single line font. I know I can use the FILL but it takes forever.
Is there a way to do this?

Working with photo is slate
I'm new to this but I have been loving it. I purchased the laser figuring why not. The more I use it the more I like it. I've started playing with slate and glass. Now I plan to start playing with tile. My laser is 5.5W. Any advice in selecting or treating tile? Attached is my last slate project. I like working with photos.

My best results have been using rustolem clear, matte finish sealer prior to burning. much brighter contrast.

Hi parker, welcome to the board.
I know you're new here so I just want to point out that we have a forum for showing off your creations, named likewise: viewforum.php?f=8
Or, if the main purpose of you post was to ask about the tile treatment, it might have been better in the forum about diode lasers: viewforum.php?f=3
It doesn't really matter, like it's not a "crime" or even a breach of etiquette. It just helps to post it in the right place because there may be more eyeballs looking there that can answer it, rather than in the forum about locating supplies.
Wish I could answer your question but I'm too noob myself, still have two tiles laying in the garage that I want to test on for my first try. I bought some Titanium Dioxide powder and alcohol and plan to mix them 50/50 and spray onto the tile before lasering. You'll find that is one of the techniques that some folks recommend.
Good luck with yours!
