Consider free shipping of course its not free, but get a quote on a number of locations around the country and then get a average and tack it onto the price.
I'm in Canada and your ornaments its quoting me $21 to ship which is CRAZY. I'm sure you have a much better rate of shipping costs when you don't let Etsy calculate the shipping costs.

Example, I sell a item that when its boxed its 24x6x4" 6lbs and etsy quotes $40++++ for shipping , compared to me getting my own shipping via UPS for a average of $18.
So you as a buyer decide.. Item is $50 plus shipping $40 = $90
OR
$50 + $20(average shipping costs) = $70 Etsy listed price with 'free shipping'

Which one is more appealing as a buyer. As a seller you are still getting your $50 for the item.

Got the laser stuff on etsy now. Still at zero. Even trying the advertising. Getting clicks at least.

I don't do Etsy or any of the other spaces.

Since last January 2022, I made about $4,00.00 in "Word of mouth Sales". Typical amount per sale has been between $20.00 and $1,200.00.

I'm retired and this amount of sales is just fine with me because I really don't want another full time job.

I have started to sell a few things to local retail stores and some of the things I need to get more money for I do on consignment. For me it's a hobby and if I can sell enough stuff to pay for my hobby I'll be happy. I ran a business for many years and I really don't want to start that whole thing again lol. Anyway, so far so good.
Hi, my name is Mike.

I am using NEJE 3 Max laser and a Longmill MK2 for CNC woodworking. The learning has been fun and frustrating, sometimes at the same
time.

I heard if you don't pay Etsy certain amount, that you are moved down the list from searches. Which I didn't know. Not even in that pay grade yet. But I did get one sale from the local PD......... Didn't expect anything

Made it thru Christmas and can say I remained at zero sales on Etsy, Bonanza and Mercari. Did better on my own.
