Re: Where are the Lightburn Downloads??
First of all THANK YOU for all the wonderful advice and tips in your videos! It' s greatly appreciated! I went to the downloads section, read the instructions and downloaded the files. However the Materials.clb file will not open. Do you have this in any other format? I've literally spent hours trying to figure out how to open the download. Not sure what else to do. I got it to load up in Word but it says it's 47 pages and there's nothing on them.

Why would you try and open a Lightburn file in Word??? The instructions are very clear:Againes wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 8:09 pm ...the Materials.clb file will not open. Installing Libraries
1) Click the tab in Lightburn for either the Art Library or the Material Library (Material Lib is just labeled Library)
If you don't see the library tabs, from the top menu, click Window --> Art Library, or Window --> Library or both.
2) Click the button that says LOAD.
3) Browse to the appropriate folder on your computer where you saved the files and double click the file you want to load.

Re: Where are the Lightburn Downloads??
Thank you, I get it now! I didn't understand that the file doesn't actually open but instead loads in Lightburn in the library section . Yes the instructions are clear and I was just clicking away on anything because it kept saying what app do you want open this file with lol. I've got it now and successfully feel like an idiot. Thanks for your time and reply! This noob will get there eventually

Re: Where are the Lightburn Downloads??
I just want to say thanks for all the work you’ve put in to create this forum!!! I’ve signed up and I’m reading the posts etc on my iPhone as I’m not near my computer right now but already I’m addicted
I can’t wait to get home, open lightburn and dive right in!
But wanted to say “thank you” first because I KNOW I won’t come up for air for several days once I check out the file library. And my mother always told me to say thank you FIRST!

HI Rich,
Guess found the thank you post lol.
Appreciate all your kind help for noobies like us. still tons of stuff to learn and go. My next project is to find the materials cut and speed data. Thats one thing i miss from Waterjet program where you entered the material and machine would pick up the speed garnet and water pressure to cut. Only thing you had to really input was the cut quality. Still fairly new and havent combed the program fully yet hopefully Lightburn has similar option if not will take time to learn that be nice if there was a library for that for reference.
Really appreciate all you work i got super excited yesterday when i found that a simple sharpie marker on stainless steel is all that is required for masking and it cuts sweet, almost pulled plug and was looking into Cermark but was surprised to see how expensive that stuff was.
Once again great work and big thanks.
