Well then you weren't in negative coordinates. I would suggest flashing the firmware and starting over. Did it ever work?

Re: DIY Camera Build & Software Hack!
No it didnt, ive contacted where i bought it and they are getting back to me. Ive put a support email to bangood, but nothing back yet. For some reason it only sees 125 x125. Lightburn displays that also, board is set to 399 x 409, shows that, but thats past the machines limit. It doesn't make sense. I even reflashed and 0 change.

Re: DIY Camera Build & Software Hack!
Good HACK !!! I have a half dozen Web Cams, so may give this a try.
Re: DIY Camera Build & Software Hack!
Thanks for another great "How-To" video Rich!
I had no interest in a video camera since I had no intention of making youtube videos; then I watched your video and discovered the other uses of video cameras.
Now I have one.
I don't have a 3D printer so I built my camera box/mount on my cnc cut out of a 1x4 pine board. I'm old and naturally slow so it took me most of a day to get it measured, designed and cut; several revisions to get everything sized to fit. I was leery of driving wood screws into the box so I used cable ties to fasten the two pieces together.
My camera would not pick up the dots for the lense focus at all so I ended up using the lightburn 75n(?) presets and it seems to be working very well.
I put together a package of parts from your list. I had no idea what the significance of "drop-in" nuts was but discovered that pretty quick and do like them better.
I do like the metric scale on the 2020 rail. Is that engraved or stick-on tape? Can you provide a source for that?
Again, thanks for all you do!
Ron

My name is Ron, I have an xTool D1/10 watt laser that I received June 6, 2022.
No prior experience w/lasers, but do run Vectric VCarve for my CNC router and from what I've seen in some of the laser tutorials VCarve and LightBurn are pretty similar.
Finally got my LightBurn sofware set-up and my laser operational and even made a couple of simple engravings on some scrap mdf

Re: DIY Camera Build & Software Hack!
My camera case for the Sony IMX179. That's the camera used in Rich's hack on youtube. I machined it on my MK2 LongMill. The inner cut has a lip that the camera sits on then I just put a bit of hot glue in each corner to hold it in. I have not set it up in the software but the hardware works great.

Hi, my name is Mike.
I am using NEJE 3 Max laser and a Longmill MK2 for CNC woodworking. The learning has been fun and frustrating, sometimes at the same
time.

Hi Mike,
I Like your camera mount much better than mine so I re-cut the top for my box only to add the "ears" to attach it to the overhead rail. Haven't reattached it yet, but think I'm going to like that better.
Someday when I'm feeling real energetic I may give your mount a try; it is much neater.
