Had to change this to non-clickable url also due to the limit. Just copy and paste :)

The plasma cutting world uses dxf files with designs that work well for laser. FreeDXF, 123DXF, SignTorch, ironshadows.com and many, many others offer libraries of dxf files that you can use or manipulate.

Also, go to the CRICUT website. They are the cnc cutters that make the cute multi-layered greeting cards and stuff. They have huge art libraries that will work with the lasers.

The website called plasmaspider.com has a massive library of files, but it costs $20.00 per year to access them.

There are many dozens of places to get dxf art files. Collect the whole set!

Also, for you artistic types, the iPad has a FREE APP called VECTOR Q which is nothing less than AWESOME for hand drawing art using the Apple Pencil.

I had a good time building the Marble Race from https://www.freelaserfiles.com/files.html

They have a nice assembly video to go with each project.

I had to do some work to break up the pieces to fit in my machine but the main problems I had were due to differences in material.

Thanks, Mike!

The art files are not machine specific. Only the settings you use to etch, burn or cut them changes with each machine.

Doubtful you'll find files specific to your (or any) particular laser. Any of the files on the sites mentioned above should work with your machine. You just have to experiment to find the right settings.
Jared Hooper ... Gabriola Island BC, Canada ... I've been using lasers since 2017. Started with a 2.8 w Emblaser diode and then a 30 w JPT fiber laser since Dec.2020 and now have a 60w JPT fiber and a 10w Zbaitu diode. I do most of my designing in Illustrator and work primarily on a mac. I've been using LightBurn to control my diode machine since the first week it came out (many versions ago) and now to also control the fiber machines.

Here's another useful source of free dxf files https://www.makerunion.com/downloads/dxf/
And I have spent time with this clockface, so I would like to share it

Here are the settings for the the 20W xTool D1: xTool D1 20W Library

You can use this as a starting point for the 40W. Double the speed, halve the power etc. :geek:

I just bought the whole file package from this company for $89.00. They are awesome files in DXF, SVG, AI and other formats.
