Cutting

Post by Monster03 »

Could someone please help me with why ? Does my laser cut all the way through one direction and not the other.
Say: it will cut going x axis way , but not cut through on y axis, using a square as example.
Why do I have to cut 3mm on 475 speed, 100%, 25 cuts and still not cut all the way through.
My laser is a two tree A pro.
Been doing this a little bit but still learning.

Make sure your lens is clean and your laser is focussed
Hi my name is Mike and I use a Roly Automation LaserMATIC10 and a Creality Falcon 10w diode laser.

As far as I understand, the laser beam is not square, therefore thicker in one side than the other side. Because of this I have seen the same circumstances.

If the laser was mine and I was running 100% power, I would slow it down at least 75 speed. Or even more and reduce the power. Running at 100% shortens the life of the laser. I have cut thicker material, but most of what I cut is 3mm. One of the built in test that Lightburn has and there are several videos helping you to determine what speed and power is optimal to cut your material. I have run at a lower speed than you choose to run to cut 3mm wood.
I do have a Geeetech A20T and a JG Maker Artist-D Pro IDEX 3D printers. Have an Atomstack A5 40W Pro+. Added the M100 laser module and love it. 8-) -- Added the IKIER 70W laser and it has unbelievable performance.
