I have been using my laser for about 10 months no problem. I have not used it in a couple of weeks, when i went to use it today, i get " device atttached to USB port not recognized by windows"
what could be causing this error?

bad cable, bad connector, bad motherboard.
I wold try a different USB port and see what happens. If you still get the error then try a new cable.

Your port number could have changed if you have plugged in different USB devices during your period of not using laser. If you go into Windows Device Manager and look at the USB devices you should be able to figure it out. See what appears or disappears when you turn the laser off and on. Make sure your software is configured with the correct device name.

Thx guys. I just kept unplugging and plugging back in and it finally recognized it. I think the cable will have to be replaced.
